As Dodges Ferry locals since 1992 we spent many years commuting to city jobs. In recent years our family, the Southern Beaches community and Sorell district have become our main focus.

Colin is an IT specialist with more than 20 years in web development and leading edge spatial information systems (in fact he worked on the very first web page in Tasmania when there were only five web sites in Australia). He’s a talented musician, guitar teacher and photographer and award winning sound technician.

Melinda is an experienced communication strategist, writer and editor with more than 25 years experience as a communication professional, including 15 years in public relations and internal communication with the ATO in Tasmania and nationally. Melinda’s positive community stories feature in local newspaper The Sorell Times and in LOIS. Magazine, Tasmania’s free lifestyle magazine for women by women. Her community advocacy includes volunteer roles as President of Okines Community House Inc at Dodges Ferry and as a Director of the Sorell & District Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank.

Dodges Ferry Online combines these skills with our passion for our local community. We believe in thinking global, acting local and in giving back by making connections that celebrate our vibrant community and seaside environment. We’re here to help you do that too.

We are deliberately small scale, so if you’re situation requires different skills then we’ll refer you to our network of talented colleagues in Tasmania and beyond.
